How we can help

Our doctors provide individualised weight management plans in accordance with current clinical guidelines.

Your plan may include:

A clinical assessment and discussion of your health, lifestyle and weight-related goals

Consideration of approved medical weight loss options that may support your progress

Guidance on nutrition, movement and behavioural strategies for sustainable results

Ongoing monitoring and follow-up through secure telehealth consultations.

Not all patients are eligible for weight-loss medication. Your doctor will determine suitability based on your medical history and health profile.

Free initial consultation

For new patients or those interested in learning more, Botaniqal offers a free initial consultation with one of our team members. This includes a simple eligibility check to determine which treatment pathways may be suitable — at no cost and with no pressure or expectations.

During this conversation, you’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and explore any roadblocks that may affect your readiness for treatment.

If you’re eligible, your intake form can often be completed during this session, ensuring all information is on hand for your first medical appointment.

Doctor consultation

If you choose to proceed, you’ll have a one-on-one telehealth appointment with a qualified practitioner.

Before this session, our team will collect your front and side photographs and confirm your booking, so your doctor has all relevant information available to make the most of your time together.

Personalised plan

Your doctor will develop a tailored plan that may include lifestyle strategies and, where clinically appropriate, medical weight loss options.

Botaniqal takes an agnostic approach to medication, meaning treatment is based on your individual needs, not on any specific brand or product.

Overweight and obesity in Australia

Weight management is one of the most significant health challenges in Australia.

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare:

More than two-thirds of Australian adults are classified as overweight or obese

Carrying excess weight is linked to over 30 different diseases, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnoea and joint problems

There are complex factors influencing overweight and obesity, including genetics, environment and lifestyle.

At Botaniqal, we recognise that losing weight isn’t easy. That’s why we provide non-judgemental, evidence-based care to help you reach your goals.

Eligibility and considerations

Weight loss treatments at Botaniqal Clinics are available to adults aged 18 years and over who have previously attempted conventional lifestyle measures.
Eligibility for prescription medication is determined by a registered doctor following a detailed assessment. Patients may be required to provide medical history, current medication details and recent health checks (such as blood tests) to support informed prescribing.
Treatment plans are designed to complement, not replace, healthy lifestyle practices. Results vary from person to person, and ongoing medical supervision is recommended throughout your weight loss journey.
